Evening Wear – Month 6 of pregnancy
Hey to all the struggling to be mommies!
I am sure, just like me, you too are struggling everyday to find out things in your wardrobe that are wearable and fit you with the bump. Dressing up in pregnancy has been hard. Specially for evening wear. It is tough to find maternity garments which you can pick off the shelf and just wear them to a party. In this post, I am sharing two garments that I chose to wear for evenings during 6th month of my pregnancy. However, they fit me for longer than just that one month.
The best option for you to buy maternity evening wear during pregnancy would be a larger size. But buying a larger size has its cons too. The shoulders could be droopy and sleeves could be very loose. Make sure you purchase dresses which only fit you well till under bust if you are not putting on much on your breasts and are flowing from there. If you are also increasing bust sizes then opt for a suitable maternity garment which is loose from the bust and has a larger room on the belly for it to easily grow in future and the garment to still fit you for rest of the pregnancy.
This is my first look for evening.
And as they always say – you can never go wrong with black :p .
Usually I don’t prefer wearing black but in this outfit, I totally love how it makes my face glow and makes me look good. To sass up this beautiful dress, I added this slick belt and wore it with wedged mules.
You could opt for dresses like these instead of completely plain dresses as the texture on sleeves, takes away attention from rest of the bloated body. The gathers on the neck also add up to the look.
It is not maternity wear by the brand or make, but was purchased in 2 sizes larger than my regular size so it fit me well until the 7th month. But the belt did not. So i used a safety pin to latch my belt and it also gave me extra 2 inches. That’s a hack you could use 😉

My second look for maternity evening wear
I got this dress customised and made according to my size during my first trimester. It is made in neoprene fabric and the construction is done in the same way a full circle skirt is made. This gives it a lot of room and free flowing fabric. It still fits me and at present i am in the 8th month of my pregnancy. This dress from my maternity wear collection is a lot like my style – flowy, short, cute and flirty. To add on, I got these neoprene cut out 3D flowers in hot pink to give texture and colour to the garment. It is a very comfortable dress which one can wear during and post maternity.
I teamed it up with a fancy chunky watch, an evening clutch bag and multicolored wedged sandals.
