Dharini – Not your traditional Kurta | Boho Chic

Kurta – An attire not everyone is willing to wear these days as it can look too boring. Every woman is wanting to experiment with different silhouettes and styles. But have you ever thought that something as basic as a kurta can look super trendy. The new word for the same is boho. Although boho actually means bohemian having a hippie influence and boho quite trending this year, we created our version of a boho look using a kurta, combining different elements and creating a fusion look. Think a kurta paired with shorts and huge chunky silver earrings or maybe a choker.

We collaborated with the brand Dharini to create such looks for you.

Dharini is a brand specialising in kurtas. They have a wide variety of silhouettes in kurtas and try to play with different  Indian elements like Tie & Dye, block prints, ikat, foil printing, etc. They also have a range of maxi dresses and midi dresses with these prints which look quite interesting than regular dresses.

We decided to stick to the traditional kurta and created these two boho looks with them :

In the first look, Akshita is wearing a red Cold shoulder Front slit kurta. She has paired it with denim shorts and a pair of brogue style juttis from Fizzy Goblet. For accessories she paired a plain black choker with a chunky silver pendant.

In the next look, Sanya is wearing a block printed front slit kurta with ripped denims and bold tie up heels. She accessorised it with bold silver chandbali earrings and added a small nose ring to make the look stand out.

Once you are bored of experimenting with these looks, you can make it interesting further by getting them stitched from the front and wear it as a maxi dress or get the kurta cut short and pair it up with a skirt, pallazo pants or even shorts!!
